Marshall Texas is a small town of around 24,000 people, located about 40 minutes from Shreveport, Louisiana and 40 minutes from Longview, Texas.  If you were to look for where I-20 and Hwy 59 intersect you would easily find Marshall on the map. 

Friendly and fun, Marshall is home to 3 colleges, is the Harrison County seat and is also home to a very busy federal court.  For public education there is one high school, one junior high, 2 middle schools and  5 elementary schools.  There is also one private school.

While many small towns have seen their downtown areas lose their energy, Marshall continues to thrive with  2 court houses, restaurants and shopping. " Second Saturday" activities find people milling around well into the evening, with featured free entertainment, antique car shows, many shops open and lots of schmoozing with friends.  There are yearly celebrations -- especially fun is the "Wonderland of Lights" festival with Christmas light madness hitting the entire town.  The courthouse is lit, there is ice skating, horse drawn carriages, a parade featuring Santa Claus, and home tours.  This year will mark the 25th year for the Wonderland festival and promises to be bigger and better than ever!
